Got my engineering degree (July 20th 2001)

After successfully presenting EtherApe as my end of degree project, I'm only short of some paper work to be done with university.

I'm available for employment now. If anybody feels like making me an offer, my mailbox is eagerly open, and here is a link to my updated CV. Denmark, UK, The Netherlands, or Florida would be my preferred destinations, but I can c

I'd like to thank everybody that has sent me feedback on their usage of EtherApe. It has been very useful. Let me tell you that I'm not stopping development. I'd love to add up the final touches to reach version 1.0 so as to go on onto more drastic changes for 1.x

Before releasing version 1.0 I'd like to have:

User chosen methods for protocol color assignments.
User chosen alternatives for name display.
Finished basic online documentation.

Stuff to do afterwards include:

Turning the capture engine into its own library in order to help the development of further front ends.
Developing a generalized scheme for multiple, remote network interface reading. This should help in switched environments and in building a way to overview a whole system, not just a LAN.
More statistics windows.
Ability to dump information gathered onto a file, or a database.

End of degree project documentation

As part of the process of the end of degree project, I had to write some documentation. Unfortunately it had to be written in Spanish, and so it will only be available in that language until I get around to translating it.

There are two documents:

The report: This version includes the skeleton of a couple of chapters that were not included in the final version, but that I intend to finish writing. Comments are welcome.
The presentation: Slides for the 20 minutes presentation. I guess they are not that useful without the spoken commentary, but I post it here for completeness.
